WWTP Stara Lubovna

 

The goal of the project was the expansion of the existing wastewater treatment plant for the city Stara Lubovna and neighboring towns Nova lubovna Jakubany and Jarabina, which represents the number of  21300 EP.

The completion of the wastewater treatment plant was in progress in full operation. Work schedule has been organized like the operation of wastewater treatment plant would not stop or on limited time only. The project was trying to reuse the most of existing buildings although in some cases, changed their original function. In area of WWTP were built also new construction objects. The most important structure for the organization was to extend lines of biological treatment. Implementation of the extension was possible, while maintaining a limited cleaning process carried out in the following stages:

Stage I - the construction of two new substitution reservoirs DN A and DN B (Fig. 1) were built in the place of the existing sludge fields, while operation of biological treatment lines continued,

Stage II - Reconstruction of mechanical pretreatment (Fig. 2) (without settling basin) in wastewater treatment plant operation,  without pretreatment,

Stage III - Reconstruction of tank CITYCLAR (Fig. 3) to the nitrification tank, implementation  of reconstructed mechanical pretreatment by the original settler tank  in to the original denitrification tank  and older biological line (ie, activation of BSK-turbines and the original circular sedimentation tank),

Stage IV - reconstruction of the original biological treatment lien and sedimentation tank  next to the realization of the temporary connection from endurance chamber (before settling tank) into a reconstructed nitrification tank and then into the new substitution tanks (Fig. 4),

Stage V - a connection of activation tanks into the  whole: DNN A, B DNN, DNN C, AN, DN A, DN B, NRK.

During the execution of construction has been restricted capacity and quality of wastewater treatment. After putting into the operation  biological and chemical stages, the flow capacity increased to the projected level. The building was put into the operation in September  2012..
